That zero-byte response says more than any generated summary. After 11 years of market cycles, I keep seeing one recurring thread: missing data is becoming the market's most informative signal. Whether data exists has replaced where data is trending as the critical distinction. Pulse checks from the blockchain veins show us building grand cathedrals for tenants who never arrive.

The DA-layer narrative is the most overpackaged piece of crypto infrastructure in this cycle. Celestia, EigenDA, and similar networks sell "sovereign block space for rollups." In theory, they guarantee batch data is posted to a dedicated security network for trustless verifiability. But across my scale analysis, one monotonic conclusion emerges: 99% of rollups will never generate enough genuine transaction traffic to justify a dedicated DA security layer.

This is not a bandwidth problem. It is a load problem. If an L2 posts no data in its settlement window, users should be told the output is zero — not that data is unavailable. And if a GPU network returns an empty schedule, then "token economic value" is a defensive phrase, not a measure of anything.

Every surveillance operator needs a zero-trigger — a risk playbook that activates when output goes empty. Wallets turning idle should trigger the same scrutiny as anomalous spike in transaction volume. That is the discipline most teams lack.
